Wow! It's all come together! Random Acts of Conservation and Preservation (RACAP) is now an officially recognized 501(c)3! We are now able to receive donations - and we are pleased to report they are rolling in.
The response to RACAP has been incredible. People immediately understand the importance of small random acts of conservation. Not every organization needs to set out to save the planet! In fact, what we are finding is that each person, quietly caring for their neighborhood, favorite fish stream or birding area will have more of an impact over the long haul than the "Big Guys" like the Sierra Club.
All of our donors have their own story of a Random Act of Conservation - from simple (but essential) trash clean up to more ambitious projects such as beaver dam restoration (more on that in a future blog post).
Our goal here at RACAP is to celebrate conservation projects of all shapes and sizes. As we grow, we will endeavor to connect like minded people to share the work load and as donations allow, support these efforts by helping defray the cost of materials.
